Editorial policy
Effective 5 October 2026. Primula publishes calm, evidence-aware editorial work about male athleticism after 35.
This policy covers articles, resource pages, contributor material, corrections and commercial disclosures. It is designed for an informational publication and does not turn editorial writing into personal instruction. The desk reviews the policy during the annual cycle and when the publication model changes.
1. Independence
Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not a promise of commercial performance.
Topics are selected for relevance to the publication's stated scope, not because a partner requests a favorable outcome. A commercial conversation is kept separate from the decision to publish, amend or correct an article. Editors may decline material that cannot be checked or that would create an unclear reader expectation.
2. Accuracy
Writers check terminology, dates and the limits of claims before publication.
Review includes checking whether a statement is descriptive, supported and appropriately qualified. Dates and links are revisited when an article is substantially updated. A source is not treated as universal evidence for every individual context, and uncertainty is retained where it matters.
3. Sources
We prefer reputable research, professional guidance and clearly attributed lived experience.
Sources are recorded in working notes so editors can understand where a claim came from. Lived experience is presented as a perspective, not as proof of a general result. External links are checked for relevance, availability and whether their own claims require additional qualification.
4. Uncertainty
Where evidence is incomplete, the article says so rather than presenting a conclusion as settled.
Writers may explain limits such as small samples, differing methods, short observation periods or limited relevance to a particular population. This helps readers distinguish an established description from an open question. Simplifying language must not remove a meaningful limitation.
5. Health boundaries
General education is separated from individualized diagnosis or treatment.
Articles do not assess a reader, interpret personal symptoms or direct medication changes. Where a topic could be misunderstood, the page refers readers to the medical information boundary and local qualified care. Urgent symptoms are directed away from the publication and toward local emergency services.
6. Corrections
Readers can report errors by phone or contact form. Material corrections include a date.
We aim to acknowledge a report within 7 days and provide a substantive response within 30 days. Editors compare the report with the article and source, then may correct, annotate or clarify the text. A correction record can remain available for the life of the relevant article to preserve publication history.
7. Conflicts
Relevant commercial or professional relationships are disclosed near the affected material.
Disclosure should be written in plain language and placed where a reader can see it before relying on the material. A conflict does not automatically make information unusable, but it gives readers context for assessing it. Editors may exclude a contributor from a decision where the conflict would impair confidence.
8. Guest contributors
Contributors are identified by role and their statements remain subject to editorial review.
Contributors are asked to distinguish observation, opinion and sourced information. The desk may edit for clarity, length, accessibility and legal safety without changing the substance unfairly. Contributors do not receive permission to publish private reader messages or personal details.
9. Reader privacy
Messages are handled under the privacy policy and are not published without permission.
Readers should not send medical records, passwords or identity documents. A message may be quoted only after separate permission, with identifying details minimized where appropriate. Ordinary correspondence is normally retained for 24 months after the last meaningful exchange.
10. Complaints
Complaints should describe the article, concern and preferred response. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Complaints are reviewed by an editor who was not solely responsible for the disputed wording where practical. The response may explain the evidence, propose a correction or state why the existing wording remains. Complaints can be sent to Jalan Anggrek Merah 27, Kelurahan Menteng, Jakarta Pusat 10310, Indonesia, or +62 857 2049 1386.
11. Updates
This edition supersedes the 1 July 2026 policy and was reviewed on 5 October 2026.
The October edition expands the description of sources, uncertainty, contributor review, privacy and complaint handling. Future revisions will carry a new effective date and a short description of material changes.
Each substantial article is checked for a clear purpose, understandable structure and a distinction between established information, interpretation and open questions. Where an article relies on a study, standard, public dataset or specialist source, the source is assessed for relevance and dated context. A source may be revised, corrected or removed by its publisher, so links are periodically reviewed rather than treated as permanent evidence.
Primula avoids presenting a single experience as a universal outcome. Examples are framed as examples, uncertainty is retained where it matters, and claims about exercise or recovery are written without promises of a particular personal result. Sponsored or commercial material, if accepted, must be visibly separated from independent editorial work and assessed against the site's advertising policy.
Corrections, complaints and right-of-reply requests may be sent to Jalan Anggrek Merah 27, Kelurahan Menteng, Jakarta Pusat 10310, Indonesia, or by phone at +62 857 2049 1386. We normally acknowledge a report within 5 business days and aim to complete an initial review within 30 calendar days. A correction may be made silently for a minor typographical issue or explained publicly where a factual change could affect interpretation.
Editorial correspondence is generally retained for up to 24 months, while records supporting a correction, legal request or conflict review may be kept for up to 36 months. Access is limited to people who need the record for publication, compliance or security purposes. This policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026 and will show a new date when its standards materially change.
Source review and accountability
Primula articles are checked for a clear purpose, understandable structure and a distinction between sourced information, interpretation and open questions. Links and references are reviewed for relevance, date and context. A source may change after publication, so links are revisited during ordinary editorial maintenance.
We avoid presenting one person's experience as a universal result. Examples remain examples, uncertainty is retained where it affects meaning, and commercial relationships are separated from independent editorial work.
