Cookie policy
Updated 5 October 2026. Cookies are small browser records used to remember a choice or support a site function.
This notice explains the categories used on Primula, their purposes, expected lifespans and the choices available to readers in Indonesia. A cookie is not the same as an email address and cannot by itself identify a reader by name.
1. Essential operation
Session records may support security and basic navigation. They normally expire when the browser session ends.
An essential session record may help keep a menu state, protect a form or distinguish a normal request from repeated automated traffic. It is not used to build an advertising profile. If the browser blocks it, a form or navigation control may need to be used again.
2. Preference record
The cookieChoice item records Accept or Reject for up to 12 months. It does not contain a name, email address or training profile.
Its value is limited to the consent choice and a version of the notice. If the policy changes materially, the preference may be requested again. Removing the record returns the banner to its initial state without deleting correspondence held under the privacy policy.
3. Analytics
If optional measurement is introduced, it will be activated only after consent and configured with a maximum lifespan of 13 months.
Measurement would be used to understand aggregate page visits, device categories and broad navigation patterns, such as whether a resource page is reachable. It would not be used to infer medical status or create a personal training profile. The exact provider, cookie names and retention settings would be listed in an updated notice before activation.
4. Browser controls
You can delete or block cookies through browser settings. Some site functions may behave differently after blocking essential records.
Most browsers provide controls for individual cookies, all cookies and automatic deletion on exit. Private browsing can reduce local persistence but does not make network activity anonymous. Instructions differ by browser version, so readers should consult the browser maker's current help pages.
5. Third parties
Providers may set security records under their own documentation. Primula does not sell cookie data.
A host, security service or embedded resource may process a technical identifier when necessary to deliver its function. Primula seeks settings that limit unnecessary collection and does not permit a provider to use contact messages for unrelated advertising. Third-party practices remain subject to their own notices.
6. Consent
The banner offers Accept and Reject choices. Either choice is respected until you change it or the record expires.
Rejecting optional records does not prevent access to ordinary editorial pages. Consent is recorded only for the categories presented in the banner, and withdrawal applies prospectively. A reader may contact the desk if the banner does not reflect the choice made.
7. Contact
Questions can be sent to Jalan Anggrek Merah 27, Kelurahan Menteng, Jakarta Pusat 10310, Indonesia or +62 857 2049 1386.
Include the browser and approximate date if reporting a consent problem, but do not include passwords or unnecessary personal information. We aim to acknowledge a cookie enquiry within 7 days and provide a substantive response within 30 days.
8. Changes
This page was reviewed on 5 October 2026. A future change will carry a new date and explain the affected category.
The 5 October 2026 review confirms the preference, session and optional-measurement descriptions above. A new provider, cookie name or lifespan will be added to the notice before it is used where consent or prior information is required.
9. Retention review
Cookie settings are reviewed every 12 months. Security logs connected with cookie abuse may be retained for up to 90 days.
The annual review checks whether each record is still necessary, whether its expiry is proportionate and whether the banner remains understandable. Security records are access-limited and are not retained longer merely because a cookie was present.
10. Your choice
You can continue reading after rejecting optional cookies. Essential operation does not depend on accepting measurement.
You may revisit the choice through the site's consent control when available or by deleting the preference record. The privacy policy explains related rights for information that is not stored in a cookie.
In addition to the consent record described above, a short-lived session cookie may be named PHPSESSID where the hosting configuration requires a session for form security. It normally expires when the browser closes, is marked HttpOnly where supported, and is not used to identify a reader by name. A security or rate-limit record may remain in server logs for up to 30 days after the related request.
Primula does not activate optional analytics merely because a page is opened. If measurement is enabled, the notice will identify the provider, explain the transfer location, list the relevant names and state whether the setting is first-party or third-party. Optional records will have a stated maximum lifespan and will not be used to infer a reader's health status or create an individual advertising profile.
You can withdraw an optional choice by deleting the cookieChoice record and revisiting the site, using the browser's site-data controls, or contacting the Primula desk at Jalan Anggrek Merah 27, Kelurahan Menteng, Jakarta Pusat 10310, Indonesia. For questions about the notice, call +62 857 2049 1386. We normally acknowledge cookie enquiries within 5 business days and respond within 30 calendar days.
Cookie settings differ between browsers and devices, so a choice made on a laptop may not apply to a phone. Blocking all records can affect menus, form protection or saved preferences. The cookie banner and this policy were reviewed on 5 October 2026; material additions will be dated and explained before optional categories are introduced.
Cookie names and lifespan
A session record such as PHPSESSID may be used when a form or security feature requires a temporary session. It normally expires when the browser closes and is not intended to identify a reader by name. A consent record such as cookieChoice may remain for up to 180 days so the banner does not repeatedly ask the same question on one device.
Optional analytics cookies are not activated unless the applicable choice is made. If introduced, this notice will identify the provider, purpose, retention period and transfer location before activation. Readers can withdraw optional consent by deleting site data or emailing [email protected].
Cookie questions may also be sent to Jalan Anggrek Merah 27, Kelurahan Menteng, Jakarta Pusat 10310, Indonesia, or by phone at +62 857 2049 1386. We normally acknowledge enquiries within 5 business days and respond within 30 calendar days.
This policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026. Browser settings vary by device, and blocking every cookie may affect form security or saved preferences.
